- Overview The purpose of the Social Service Case Worker is to serve those in need in our community with Salvation Army resources and donations through the delivery of basic needs services and case management.
- Responsibilities Interview clients, maintain client files, updating with each visit and assisting with services such as emergency food, utilities, rents, & mortgages and other basic needsMaintain confidentiality both with clients and other agencies/service providersSupervise/coordinate with receptionist the scheduling of client appointmentsMaintain statistics on social servicesMaintain records and complete reports for United Way, EFSP, and any other special fundsClient Outreach in the community.
- Pathway of Hope Case ManagementWork with Corps Officers on special projects as assignedCoordinate Angel Tree, Christmas distributions, Back to School ProjectSupervise and Oversee the Food Pantry – including preparation & distribution of food bags, stocking shelves, and client pantry tracking.
- Supervise and Oversee the Diaper Bank giveaway – including ordering from the Diaper Bank, keeping stats and records of diaper giveaway and communicating regularly with the Ohio Diaper Bank. Order food from Food Bank and perform inventory maintenance regularly as well as overseeing the temperature checks on freezers and Food Pantry.
- This could be in the form of classes, (sessions) seminars, or support/focus groups Any other reasonable request made by the Corps Officer.
