- The Camp Host serves as the Girl Scouts of West Central Florida (GSWCF) representative and main contact at a designated camp property during an assigned period, usually during the day on a weekend, and provides support to other volunteers in welcoming them to camp and supporting engagement of girls in outdoor program activities.
- The Camp Host is part of a team of Camp Hosts and other program staff that provide rotating weekend coverage.
- Contact Director of Outdoor Program or Ranger if staff support is needed.
- Assist in facilitating Outdoor Program events or performing small facilities maintenance tasks as needed
- Additional physical include prolonged standing, some bending, stooping, walking long distances, hiking, climbing, and stretching; requires hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to utilize camp equipment; requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; comfort working in a camp setting with daily exposure to the sun, heat, and animals such as bugs, snakes, bats, horses etc.
