Job Summary As a Bob Truck Driver, you are ultimately responsible transporting petroleum products in a safe and efficient manner while operating under DOT and Hazmat requirements. Duties & Responsibilities <ul><li>Follows Dispatcher instructions, and safely and efficiently deliver goods from one location to another.</li><li>Transports loads over required routes to proper destinations, observing all traffic laws and safety regulations.</li><li>Must be able to load and unload fuel tankers, follow strict safety guidelines, properly label materials, and keep track of other paperwork and records.</li><li>Knowledge of and the ability to use loading arms and card readers at rack facilities, use auxiliary pumps for loading and unloading of vehicle and use spill kits and fire extinguisher.</li><li>Unload and measure amount of product delivered at each location, and ensure proper safety precautions are taken according to DOT and Hazmat Requirements.</li><li>Clean any spills and inspect tanker to reduce chances of accidents.</li><li>Maintains vehicle cleanliness and replaces gaskets, hoses and other related articles as necessary.</li><li>Completes and transmits all paperwork in compliance with established Company procedures.</li><li>Performs safety inspections on trucks, equipment and/or facilities as required by Company policy.</li><li>Maintains miscellaneous service duties such as checking, on a daily basis, oil, water, fuel, tires and tank related items and service write-up for maintenance.</li><li>Reports any equipment malfunctions and/or concerns to Management or Dispatcher.</li><li>Give all customers prompt and courteous service and use tact and diplomacy in dealing with customers, employees and the general public at all times.</li><li>Promote and support Company image standards.</li><li>Adheres to all city, county, and state regulations.</li><li>Stay familiar with the Company Policies and Procedures.</li><li>Ensure Management or Dispatcher is made aware of any operating discrepancies.</li><li>Properly posts and verifies all hours worked daily or maintain daily logs as required by DOT</li><li>Work in a SAFE manner at all times and report all accidents/incidents immediately to Dispatch.</li><li>Use of tools such as wire cutters and screw drivers to occasionally work on top of tankers for probe replacements, if needed.</li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul>Core Competencies Commitment to People <ul><li>Excellent customer service skills.</li><li>Strong verbal communication and active listening skills.</li><li>Service-oriented by being willing to help others and anticipate customer needs. </li></ul>Focus on Solutions <ul><li>Promote and resolve customer complaints, in a timely and professional manner.</li><li>Knowledgeable about the companys products, services, and customer-related policies.</li><li>Obtain first-hand customer information and use it for improvements in products and services.</li><li>Enjoy working hard and seize more opportunities than others. </li></ul>On-Time Delivery <ul><li>Value time and use your time effectively and efficiently.</li><li>Get more done in less time.</li><li>Pursue everything with energy, drive with a focus on results. </li></ul>Education, License, & Experience <ul><li>High school diploma or equivalent required.</li><li>Valid Class B Commercial Drivers License (prefer Class A) with tanker and hazmat endorsements & a clean driving record.
