- POSITION SUMMARYTRC is seeking a Lead Field Biologist to join our Permitting, Planning and Licensing Practice.
- The Lead Field Biologist position will have an emphasis in environmental planning and permitting for a variety of projects and clients in the areas of renewable energy, electric generation and transmission, and pipeline.
- ResponsibilitiesKEY RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS Lead field teams in conducting biological field surveys including wetland/waterbody delineations (in accordance with USACE requirements), habitat assessments, and wildlife and plant species-specific surveys; and breeding bird and raptor surveys.
- Additional tasks as field lead may include assisting Project Manager with scoping and costing projects; mentoring junior level field staff; preparing health and safety plans; field survey preparation for field team; reviewing data collected in field, including GIS mapping and data forms.
- QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND ABILITIES Minimum qualifications include a bachelor's degree in environmental science, natural resources, biology, ecology, or related field, and 7 to 10 years of post-degree experience.
