- Prepares and coordinates the writing of the natural resources sections of management plans and specific action plans pertaining to the management and protection of natural resources.

- For 0401 Series: Degree: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
- Specialized experience includes activities such as: Independently carry out ecological or biological studies following established protocols; perform established, standardized test and analyses on a broad range of biological samples; conduct monitoring and restoration projects of a wide range of natural resources; record, compile, and organize data; develop written reports using computer-based technology such as geographic information systems (GIS).
- EDUCATION: Successful completion of at least (3) years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph. D. degree or equivalent graduate degree in an accredited educational institution concentrated in a field that is directly related to the work of this position, such as, in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to this position.
