- Our labs study epigenetic and transcriptional programs that regulate immune responses using cutting edge molecular and cellular immunology approaches, genomics, and bioinformatics.
- Specific projects include: i) the epigenetic regulation of memory B cell responses in murine influenza models; ii) B cell dysfunction in human autoimmune diseases; iii) the role of epigenetic modifying complexes and transcription factors in plasma cell differentiation, and iv) factors influencing MHC-II and PD-1 gene expression.
- Our bioinformatics team serves a core group of 6-12 investigators by facilitating initial data processing and QC, data management, data sharing within the group, developing algorithms and computational workflows, developing and maintaining software, and analyzing and integrating transcriptome and epigenomic data using a variety of state-of-the-art statistical and data mining techniques.
- Preference will be given to candidates with immunology background, experience with 10x single-cell workflows, R/Bioconductor programming, Shiny apps, and GitHub/Bitbucket.
- Maintains software, hardware and the network in a bioinformatics setting or molecular modeling laboratory.
