- Education: Preferred - Four (4) year bachelor or undergraduate degree from an accredited university, in one of the following areas: Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Counseling, Criminal Justice OR Four (4) years of work experience providing direct services to at-risk youth and families.
- Summary : The Family Support Specialist is responsible for using sound professional judgement and best practices to provide case management to the service population including crisis intervention as needed while maintaining compliance with established state and federal standards.
- Assist in emergency shelter placements and/or finding respite care when determined appropriate.
- Mandated reporter - Report any suspected abuse or neglect to the program supervisor and all appropriate state and county enforcement agencies.
- Meet all deadlines required by program supervisor and state/federal partners.
