- Serves as lead field inspector, supports the development and maintenance of adequate environmental health records, statistical data and reporting.
- To meet demands, supervises environmental staff, and performs duties and inspections in a coordinated manner with all environmental health staff to ensure competency, consistency and standardization, and code compliance and see that regulatory duties are met.
- Serves as the lead local environmental health associate and reviews applications, project proposals, construction plans and makes necessary inspections and investigations of regulated facilities and installations including environmental health problems, food service establishments, day care centers, motels/hotels, rental housing complaints, salon-body care businesses, schools, septic systems, swimming pools, and drinking water supply wells and other environmental health duties, as required.
- Supervises and assigns duties to part-time food inspector(s), contracted public health inspectors, and other agency administrative clerks, interns and volunteers, as applicable.
- Must possess a valid Connecticut motor vehicle operator’s license.
