- 50% - Responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and management of campus safety and security programs and services including, but not limited to security, environmental health and safety, fire safety, emergency management, parking management, and student staff management.
- Attends internal/ external training courses, classes, and seminars to enhance protective services skills and knowledge.
- Provides 24-hour administrative on - call coverage of all serious incidents and activities that occur within the college, to promptly notify the Director and Dean of Students in accordance with call-in directives.
- 10% - In coordination with the Director, the Assistant Director interacts with outside vendors to coordinate the installation, operation, and maintenance, repair of safety alarm systems, access control systems, and emergency equipment.
- Member of the Emergency Response Team (ERT), Campus Safety Advisory Committee, Occidental Behavioral Intervention Team (OBIT), Campus Event Advisory Committee (CEAC).
