- Kelly FSP Science and Clinical is currently seeking a Assistant/Associate Scientist - Bacterial Vaccines for a long-term engagement with one of our Global Pharmaceutical clients.
- Primary role will be as member of the cell culture team responsible for propagating, differentiating, and preparing HL60 cell line for use in Opsonophagocytic Killing (OPK) assay.
- Duties will also include the preparation of bacterial and tissue culture growth media, the preparation of bacterial isolates and tissue culture cell lines for cryogenic storage, the propagation of tissue cultures from cryogenic storage, and monitoring HL60 cells by FACS. Assistance with other assays such as ELISA / MSD and serological assays for the characterization of bacteria is possible.
- The candidate will perform laboratory work under Good Clinical Laboratory Practice (GCLP) conditions and will maintain laboratory records according to GCLP requirements, including the use of a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
- A four year degree in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, Immunology, or a related field is required Experience working with Biosafety Level (BSL) II bacterial pathogens is required.
