- Job Description Ashland University, a comprehensive institution, seeks applications for an Assistant Professor (Tenure Track) of Biology in the Department of Biology and Toxicology to begin August.
- Primary responsibilities include teaching undergraduate courses in the Biology major, such as Human Anatomy and Physiology, Vertebrate Biology, and Cell Biology, courses that serve science majors and pre-health students, along with other courses that fall within the candidate’s areas of expertise.
- Candidates with appropriate expertise may also teach human-cadaver based Anatomy and Physiology courses for health sciences majors.
- The successful candidate will be expected to maintain an active research program mentoring undergraduate research students as well as engage in service activities.
- The department is well equipped with dedicated laboratories for tissue culture and microbiology, a vivarium, thermal cyclers including a qPCR thermal cycler, UV/VIS spectrometers, microscopes with phase, Nomarski and fluorescence optics and other equipment.
