- The candidate will also serve on department and school committees and participate in other activities, such as curriculum development.
- Areas of expertise within sustainability may include knowledge of sustainable materials and methods of construction, resilience against impacts of climate change, indigenous knowledge systems, innovative methods of energy use, historic preservation, and other methodologies considering the sustained use, existence, and inhabitation of the built environment.
- A demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and student success, as well as working with broadly diverse communities.
- The Department of Architecture is housed in the award-winning George Pearl Hall, designed by architect Antoine Predock, along with the departments of Landscape Architecture and Community and Regional Planning.
