- The Assistant General Counsel is directly involved in complex business transactions, negotiating critical contracts, litigation, real estate, employment and intellectual property matters and providing legal support for mergers and acquisitions, including transition and integration efforts, and financing transactions.
- Draft, analyze, review, and negotiate agreements with professional sports teams, conferences and leagues, regional sports networks, university athletic programs, state high school athletic organizations, venues and events (e.g., bowl games), as well as agreements with sponsors, on-air talent, and others
- Assist Chief Legal Officer with dispute resolution and litigation oversight including drafting legal pleadings, managing discovery, and negotiating settlements.
- 8+ years of experience at a leading law firm and/or corporate legal department
- Experience with consumer data privacy/security issues, technology transactions (including software as a service (SaaS) agreements), intellectual property and employment law a plus
