- Reporting to the Director of Public Programs, the Assistant Director of Public Education and Outreach leads the Yale Peabody Museum’s K-12, family and adult educational programs; summer c youth development programs; lifelong learning initiatives; and community partnerships and outreach.
- The Assistant Director will increase the Yale Peabody Museum’s impact as an educational resource for K-12 students, teachers and members of the public, strengthening the connections between the Museum’s collections and staff with local and regional communities.
- Serve as the Summer Camp Director, taking primary responsibility for the Summer Camp program.
- Lead the planning and implementation of many of the Museum’s public family programs, including but not limited to the Museum’s annual Fiesta Latina and celebration of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., other weekday and weekend programs, earned income programs, and occasional evening programs.
- Provide strategic direction for the Museum’s adult programming, including lectures, gallery talks, natural science illustration courses, and other classes and programs aimed at an adult audience.
