- Description SUMMARY POSITION DESCRIPTION Performs a variety of assignments in support of prosecutorial legal services; provides prosecutorial legal services on selected case; does related work as required.
- Provides research and preparation in support of major criminal cases; represents the Commonwealth of Virginia in some civil and all criminal cases; e.g. OSHA cases, traffic cases, all misdemeanor cases and some felony cases.
- Under close supervision, prosecutes traffic, misdemeanor, and selected felony cases in the General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court and the Circuit Court.
- These duties include research, witness interviews, and presentation of cases at trial.
- Tact and discretion are required as well as establishing and maintaining effective relationships with other judicial and law enforcement agencies.
