- The Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine at Emory University has an immediate opening for a full-time Assistant/Associate Director of Cytogenetics, at the rank of Assistant to full Professor, depending on qualifications.
- The successful candidate will be based at Emory University Hospital, a tertiary care center serving the Atlanta metropolitan area.
- The Emory Cytogenetics Laboratory is a state-of-the art laboratory offering diagnostic services for bone marrow, blood, and solid tumor and constitutional cytogenetics incorporating conventional chromosome, FISH, and copy-number microarray testing.
- The successful candidate will share medical oversight responsibilities for test development, validation, implementation, and QA/QC activities; will communicate results and support diagnostic interpretation by physicians; and will teach staff and trainees.
- The successful candidate must hold an MD and/or PhD, be Board-certified or Board-eligible in Clinical Cytogenetics or Laboratory Genetics and Genomics, and have strong organizational and administrative skills.
