- The Asset Accountant is primarily responsible for entering fixed asset, lease and general ledger transactions, maintaining fixed asset and lease records, performing account reconciliations, and report preparation.
- The Asset Accountant will promote a positive work environment that celebrates our vision, mission and core values in every action and interaction with team members, donors, customers, management and persons served.
- Support the financial reporting cycle through timely and accurate entry of transactions into the accounting system in accordance with GAAP. Review account activity and perform analysis on accounts to support the financial statement reporting process.
- Manage lease accounting, compliance and reporting to include: validating monthly rent payments, reconciling lease accounts, maintain and update lease tracking software, preparing Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations for review and processing, preparing monthly property tax accruals.
- Facilitate all processes necessary for property tax compliance actions, including but not limited to: exemption filings, reviewing annual property tax invoices before payment processing, and preparing and submitting required schedules for annual property tax filing and reporting.
