- The primary responsibility of the Assembly Engineer is to facilitate the seamless manufacture and transition of new products and options into the assembly environment.
- Support day-to-day assembly production and quality, including utilizing computerized solid works drawings, torque gauges and performing all inventory back flushes (recording of component and supply production usage to increase manufacturing efficiency) as required.
- Implementation of lean manufacturing assembly practices, including designation and implementation of assigned layouts for tools, parts and supplies with goal of maximum throughput.
- Manufacturing engineering, industrial and process engineering related functions, including use of manufacturing engineering skills and relating them to resolution of current assembly issues.
- Implementation of 5S principles, including visual management and addition of organizational aids.
