- Provides patient care and technical support to anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetist by ensuring that anesthesia supplies and equipment, in the Operating rooms, Labor & Delivery suites, Post Anesthesia Care Unit, MedSTAR, Burn Unit and other anesthesia locations, are clean and functional.
- Six to twelve months experience in a position involving: anatomy, physiology, sterile techniques, computers, and/or electronic experience required
- May require the use of standard office/medical equipment (i.e., typewriter, personal computer, data terminal, on-line printer, calculator, telephone, facsimile, copier, sterilizing equipment, blood pressure cuff, or tables); the preparation, comparison or checking of reports, records and related data; and basic use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings and knowledge of their application
- Delivers malfunctioning equipment to the Biomedical Engineering department.
- Assists anesthesiologist and certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) in airway management of patients.
