- Responds to the airfield as appropriate to correct hazards e.g., control movement area (CMA) violations, crane operations violating aviation imaginary surface criteria, wildlife encroachment on and vicinity of CMA, foreign object debris removal, unauthorized official business activity in the CMA. Manages airfield vegetation control.
- Manages the airfield environment to support base, tenant and transient flying operations according to Air Force,
- Ensures all required airfield signs, markings, lighting and aircraft arresting systems are available and properly installed according to the appropriate airfield planning and design criteria.
- Identifies and report improperly installed airfield signs, markings, lighting and aircraft arresting systems to Civil Engineering (CE) for correction.
- Use procedures outlining AM actions in the event of reduced aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF) capability.
