- Hands-on, project-based curricula and state-of-the-art pedagogy prepare our students for professional careers in aerospace engineering fields, such as aircraft and space systems research, design, development, testing, and integration.
- Students in the MSAE Program can specialize in sustainable aviation concepts, aerospace structural design, astrodynamics, space systems engineering, hypersonics or propulsion.
- They have opportunities to work with AE faculty and NASA engineers to design, build, test, and launch microsatellites like the , participate in the design, building, and testing of our brand new hypersonic facility, learn how to use machine/deep learning for structural health monitoring, optimize spacecraft trajectories or explore the potential of electric and hybrid propulsion systems for general aviation, commuter, and large air transports.
- Lecturers are expected to teach their courses using student-centered pedagogies; collaborate with the Aerospace Engineering Assessment Coordinator to assess course and program learning outcomes, maintain office hours in accordance with University Policy, and cooperate with the Department to allow for regular peer-reviews of their teaching.
- Faculty are expected to organize their classes using the Canvas Learning Management System (LMS), the official LMS provided for the SJSU community.
