- Description Creating & Manipulating complex solid modelsInspection and repair markups, including comments and graphics, to provide guidance for structural analysis of the repairs.
- This includes obtaining internal approvals, facilitating government approval, and coordination with the repair sourcesAssist in creating technical documents that will provide engineering requirements for repairs.
- Familiarity with typical repair and manufacturing processes including welding, brazing, riveting, and coating processes including plasma spray a plusInterfacing and coordinating with multiple engineering disciplines to promote the exchange of necessary data in support if engine builds.
- Technical data review & interpretationTypically has a Bachelor's Degree and a minimum of five to ten years of experience, preferably with gas turbines.
- Experience/QualificationsExperience working with Pratt and Whitney AerospaceAbility to read and interpret repair requirements read and interpret part blue printsAbility to understand, apply and interpret ASME Y14.5M standardsHave strong working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerance (GD&T)Have technical writing skillsFamiliarity with MS Office products and demonstrate excellent written and oral communication skillsGTF Engine Compressor/Turbine Rotors hardware experience.
