- The Advanced Practice Provider (APP- NP or PA) serving as the Neuro-Oncology APP is a faculty member credentialed and privileged to serve as a licensed independent practitioner and is a member of the OHSU Professional Staff practicing in accordance with the respective bylaws.
- The Neuro-Oncology APP has the responsibility to be scheduled and/or allocated to Neuro-Oncology department for medical management of their acute care patients.
- Additionally, the Neuro-Oncology APP is responsible to partner with the patient, family, pharmacist, and nurse case manager to impact timely and effective discharges and patient flow; impact patient and family experience through communication and education; mentor residents, clinical nurses and others; promote an interdisciplinary approach to care; and support new processes to improve patient outcomes.
- In addition to key job responsibilities, qualifications and other job requirements listed below, the Neuro-Oncology APP is expected to comply with scope of practice, other laws, regulations, OHSU policy, and other applicable professional standards of practice.
