- This position involves direct interaction with Navy personnel, shipyard engineering, local government representatives, and partner organizations at the Naval Nuclear Laboratory and Bechtel Plant Machinery, Inc. Successful completion of a job-specific Joint Test Group qualification is required for this position.
- Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 4 years of relevant experience; or Masters degree from an accredited college or university in engineering or science related field and 2 years of relevant experience; or Currently or previously NPE qualified; or CTE/ACRS and 1 year EOOW qualified in the Nuclear Operations Program; or Watch Instructor and Refueling Facility Area Refueling Engineer and 1 year as SRE.
- Experience working with US Navy Nuclear Fleet and/or nuclear capable shipyard.
- The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
- Naval Nuclear Laboratory personnel are FMP employees who work at four DOE facilities: Bettis Atomic Power Laboratory, Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory, Kenneth A. Kesselring Site, and Naval Reactors Facility, and at the U.S. Department of Defense-owned Nuclear Power Training Unit-Charleston.
