- This position provides comprehensive administrative, organizational, and clerical support.
- The position is responsible for scheduling hearings involving multiple parties and attorneys; coordinating workflow with Judges’ Offices, hospitals, and the Clerk’s Office; preparing and distributing court orders and findings; promptly addressing emergency matters; and active case management in a high-volume setting.
- This is a varied and highly independent position and requires a familiarity with legal terminology and court procedures, specifically in the area of Incapacity, Guardianship, Baker Act, and Marchman Act. Emphasis is placed upon dealing with highly confidential matters and requires the use of professional judgement and discretion.
- Work is performed under the direct supervision of the General Magistrate.
- Associate’s degree and one year experience performing administrative and office support work or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience can be substituted for a degree.
