- As an adjunct Manufacturing Technology instructor, the successful candidate will teach courses in Precision Machining, focusing heavily on hand tools and manual machining.
- Teaching in both the classroom and laboratory settings, the successful candidate will use a combination of hands-on demonstrations along with classroom/online lectures to teach students machine tool theory and safety as well as a variety of technical assignments and laboratory instruction that will prepare the students to enter today's manufacturing workforce.
- This candidate will be experienced and be comfortable teaching theory and methods in conventional (manual) machine tool operation, blueprint reading/engineering drawings, precision (and non-precision) measuring tools, conventional hand tools and layout.
- The adjunct faculty member will demonstrate procedures and prepare students for possible NIMS and other industry-related certifications.
- The instructor will need to use a Learning Management System (LMS) for documentation, tracking, reporting, and delivery of educational/training courses.
