- I nternship in Behavior Analysis provides supervised experience in classroom-based consultation for students (age 5-21 years) who qualify for special education under IDEA services to include autistic support, emotional support, deaf and hearing support, intellectual and multiple disabilities, and brain injury support.
- The experience provides the behavior analysis intern with direct supervision in areas approved by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
- Conducting a review of literature related to assigned cases;
- Internship in Behavior Analysis is flexible in duration, dependent upon whether the applicant’s experience standard is affiliated with a university approved practicum (750-1000 hours minimum) or whether they are seeking independent field work (1500 hours minimum), and whether they have completed partial fulfillment in another practicum or organization (position duration range 1-3 semesters, excluding summers with the start-date and end-date of experience not more than five years apart).
- The number of internship positions available each semester is dependent upon the number of returning interns, and the number of available mentors who are currently BCIU #22 employees, are hired as a behavior analyst, hold a current BCBA certification, and have been certified for at least 1 year.
