- Provides behavioral, instructional, vocational and developmental assistance to students who are determined by the site Administration, Behavior Coach, Social Worker or other certified professional to need intervention and/or support.
- Applies basic practices of effective behavioral management, and assists in the teaching of problem solving skills to students as prescribed by the supervising Administration, Behavior Coach, Social Worker.
- Provides assistance in the learning area in dealing with behavioral issues by following Non-Violent Crisis Intervention techniques to students with aggressive behavior and restraining violent students who present an imminent danger to safety of self or others as needed.
- Assists the teacher in implementing the Response to Intervention plan (RTI) or Individualized Education Program (IEP).
- Serves as a floater to various learning areas to assist in maintaining appropriate behaviors; responds to all crisis calls, assesses the situation, and follows through accordingly.
