- The Maintenance Planner is responsible for improving workforce productivity and work quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning and coordination of manpower, parts and material, and equipment access.
- Reporting to the "senior-level" Maintenance Planner or the Maintenance Manager and maintaining liaison between Production and Maintenance, this position is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all planned maintenance work performed on the plant site.
- Planning and scheduling for shutdowns (major and minor); develops model shutdown plans by standard segments.
- Keeps the "senior-level" Maintenance Planner and/or Maintenance Manager properly informed of abnormal or critical situations and seeks advice on matters outside the Planner's knowledge or authority.
- Assists the Maintenance Manager and Production Manager in periodic analysis of cost trends with recommendations for continual improvement.
