Responsibilities Serves as a store associate working either independently or as part of a team in any assigned retail area of a commissary store within the Defense Commissary Agency (DeCA) system.
The work of the position requires access to DeCA's business systems, such as DCPDS, DTS, and DCPS, and is designated as IT Level II.The incumbent interacts with Agency representatives at various levels and commissary customers in various mediums.
DeCA operates a worldwide commissary system that provides quality grocery products to active duty military personnel and retirees, members of the Reserve and National Guard, and their families, as well as current DeCA employees.
Decisions made may affect the working conditions at DeCA. The incumbent has a confidential relationship with the Director of SML. Travel by military/commercial transportation including land or air will be necessary in the performance of duties.
