- Semi-skilled work in the operation and maintenance of a water or wastewater Treatment Plant.
- Duties require the exercise of independent judgement.
- Work is performed under the direct supervision of an administrative superior who reviews work for conformance with established standards and procedures.
- Graduation from high school or an equivalent recognized certification; minimum of six (6) months of experience in the operation/maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment similar to that utilized in treatment plant operations OR has successfully passed the 'C' level examination for Water/Wastewater Treatment Operators License OR six (6) months of experience working in water chemistry, water sampling, or working with industrial chemicals in the treatment of water/wastewater.
- Necessary Special Requirement: Must agree to take and pass State examination for class "C" Operators License in Water or Wastewater Treatment within 18 months of hire.
