- Responsible for the daily operation of the Boiler and HVAC Plant, steam and chilled water distribution system and all associated equipment.
- Make daily rounds of the main boiler plant to check status of all systems and equipment, identify irregularities such as unusual noises, leaks, inconsistent pressures and temperatures, etcEffectively communicates and coordinates with KJMC Staff and others in the immediate area where they (The Stationary Engineer) will be performing work stating the purpose of their presence in the Staff Members area of work.
- OR Trade/Vocational School Diploma with a curriculum concentration in plant operations, air conditioning, boilers, plumbing, electrical, etc
- Any Trade/Vocational school training program must be verifiable by KJMC. Copies of all related diplomas must be provided to KJMC. Experience:Minimum ten (10) years industrial and commercial power plant operation experience required with a clear preference for experience in a Healthcare environment Knowledge and Skills:Ability to read blueprints helpful.
- Licenses, Certifications:Must hold and maintain active without lapse the following: Universal Technician Certification issued by the USA EPA,Certificate of Qualification for Refrigeration Operator (Q01) issued by NYC DOB andHigh Pressure Boiler Operating Engineer License issued by NYC DOB.Documentation of the certification and qualification listing in section 1 must be presented before starting work in the position of a Stationary Engineer.
