- Qualified applicants will have 7 - 10 years of experience providing electrical engineering support for at least one of these various water resource projects including hydropower plants, dams, spillways, gate structures, pump storage, fish hatcheries, and water treatment facilities.
- Special interest is placed on experience designing for generators and excitation systems; generator auxiliary systems; generator buses; generator circuit breakers; unit step-up transformers; medium and high voltage switchyards; power plant substations; balance of plant electrical systems such as medium and low voltage switchgear, motor control centers, DC battery systems, backup generators, relay protection and control systems; grounding and lighting systems.
- The preferred location for this position is in Boise, Seattle, Denver, Sacramento or Portland, but will consider remote or hybrid arrangements depending on experience.
- Familiarity of system relay protection functions and controls in generation systems and industrial power distribution systems at medium and low voltages.
- Conduct QA/QC on the work of other Electrical Engineers, Electrical Coordinators or Technicians
