Power System Advisory Engineer - Utility Studies

- We assist customers at every stage of the power system: from substation and distribution system design to renewable energy and smart grid engineering, from safety and reliability-focused studies to power quality and grounding related audits and analyses.
- Masters Degree or Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution and 8 years of proven experience in a utility engineering consulting or technical advisory capacity with a proven track record.
- Experience modeling inverter-based resources and renewable generation, such as Wind Turbine Generators (WTG), photovoltaic (PV), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and hybrid generation, and associated collector system for interconnection applications using software such as, CYME, PSS/E, PSLF, PowerWorld, ETAP, EMTP and PSCAD
- Advanced knowledge of power system planning and operations, for example: Power flow studies, short circuit, transient stability, dynamic studies, reliability studies, risk assessment techniques, and protection co-ordination studies, generator interconnection, load forecasting and hosting capability studies.
- Experience of developing Distribution Automation and Smart Grid roadmap and strategy is a plus.
