- The Department of Pediatrics at Vanderbilt University Medical Center is actively seeking to fill a full-time clinical position for a licensed clinical psychologist with expertise in pediatric psychology.
- The psychologist would work with a number of subspecialty programs within Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, including Pediatric Rheumatology and medical/surgical multidisciplinary care teams serving craniofacial clinic, spasticity clinic, and spina bifida clinic.
- The psychologist will engage in program development to incorporate psychological services within these outpatient clinics.
- The psychologist will be integrated within these teams to provide brief assessment, consultation, and psychotherapy for patients and their families.
- Primary areas of need include coping with diagnosis and medical stressors, pain management, treatment adherence, procedural anxiety, parent-child communication around disease management, transition issues, and management of co-morbid mental health issues.
