- The Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will be the primary person responsible for the communications and marketing efforts for the Performing arts at VCU.This includes the areas of Theater, Dance, and Music.
- The Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will create content and implement a marketing strategy for the department's BFA and MFA programs and its full season of plays, musicals, workshops, showcases, and other events through a variety of print, media, and digital outlets, with the goal of attracting a broad and diverse audience to these events.
- The Marketing and Public Relations Coordinator will also be responsible for all departmental communications, including bi- weekly newsletter, notices of upcoming auditions, press releases, headshots, playbills, and departmental websites.
- The Marketing and PR Coordinator may be required to work some evenings and weekends at high-profile openings, events, performances, etc.
- In close communication with the department chairs, faculty, VCUarts communications director, and other university offices, develop and implement an integrated marketing and public relations strategy for the Performing Arts.
