- The Research Associate will design, implement, and lead basic and applied research, development, and scientific research projects independently and in collaboration with the Principal Investigator and other research staff.
- The research associate will be responsible for using a multi-modal imaging approach in mice, including two-photon calcium imaging, Miniscope microscopy, Machine learning, MoSeq behavioral analysis, genetic labeling of active neural cells, and stem cell biology to define both the local and global changes in neural circuits that mediate functional remapping and recovery after stroke.
- Please note that the Research Associate will be formally hired through Stanford University as a postdoctoral fellow.
- Perform advanced biological techniques and procedures using live animals (mice), animal tissue and in vitro cultured human or animal cells;
- At least three years of prior research experience in neuroscience, stem cell biology, neural circuit function, molecular biology, or a related discipline.
