Typical Day in the Life This role will be a Firmwide resource responsible for providing international tax services to clients and developing the international tax practice. Grows the Firm by building unique service offerings for clients and developing talent on the international tax team. Conducts research related to international tax issues to maintain and expand knowledge base. A typical day as an International Tax Manager might include the following: <ul>Serves clients on a variety of international tax planning and compliance matters including in-bound and out-bound transactions, cross-border corporate taxation, export tax incentives and transfer pricing. <li>Participates in internal and external training and other presentations on international tax topics. </li><li>Builds an awareness of international tax issues and opportunities to provide additional services to existing clients. </li><li>Conducts research related to international tax issues to maintain and expand knowledge base. </li><li>Manages client relationships by monitoring client needs and building value into professional service. </li><li>Evaluates the costs, benefits and risks of alternative solutions to client problems or needs. </li><li>Actively seeks and provides feedback in order to develop the international tax practice. </li><li>Capitalizes on personal and professional experiences in order to develop business and practice lines. </li><li>Manages, develops, trains and coaches staff on the international tax team. </li><li>Manages client billing for accounting services provided. </li><li>Participates in community organizations and industry functions. </li> </ul> Who You Are <ul><li>You have a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required; Master's Degree, JD or LLM in Taxation preferred. </li><li>You have 5+ years of experience in tax. You have 2+ years of experience focused on international tax. </li><li>Experience with a public accounting firm is preferred </li><li>Valid Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license, Enrolled Agent (EA) license, or JD or LLM is required. </li><li>You have a strong federal tax background and experience working with closely-held businesses. </li><li>You have extensive knowledge of and experience solving international tax issues and opportunities. </li><li>You are an excellent communication, public speaking, research and writing skills with ability to articulate complex international tax issues. </li><li>You can work on multiple projects and meet deadlines by setting priorities with work projects. </li><li>You can establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and clients. </li><li>You are proficient with computers, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel) and using various software packages. </li> </ul>Must be authorized to work in the United States now or in the future without visa sponsorship . Benefits and Compensation Our compensation philosophy emphasizes competitive and equitable pay. Eide Bailly complies with all local/state regulations regarding displaying salary ranges. Final compensation decisions are dependent upon factors such as geography, experience, education, skills, and internal equity.
