- Dismantles, overhauls, and maintains heavy industrial equipment such as electric motors, generators, high capacity pumps, ventilation systems, blowers,conveyor systems, chlorinators, chemical feed systems, large horsepower gear boxes, mixers, floats, valves, pipes, bar screens, channel grinders, etc.
- Sets up and operates rigging and equipment to move or place heavy equipment in repair and installation of work.
- Performs semi-skilled and skilled work of routine to above average difficulty in the installation, maintenance, and repair of the mechanical equipment associated with a water and/or wastewater treatment plant and systems.
- Six years of demonstrated experience in performing maintenance on the equipment of a water/wastewater treatment plant, e.g., pumps, motors, gear boxes, blowers, ventilating equipment, etc.
- Intermediate proficiency in welding; experience in MIG welding with metals, especially aluminum and stainless steel is desirable.
