- The Materials and Fuels Complex (MFC) at the Idaho National Laboratory (INL) is seeking applicants for an experienced Electrical Engineer to provide design and system engineering within a group reporting to the Electrical, Controls, and Structural Engineering Department Manager.
- MFC hosts a unique combination of personnel, facilities and infrastructure and offers the ability to perform research and development of nuclear fuels from fuel design, development and fabrication through post irradiated analysis.
- The experienced electrical engineer applies engineering knowledge, practice and techniques to solve applied and operational problems with facility electrical systems (including switchgear, MCC equipment, motors, motor controls, variable frequency drives, communications, fire alarm systems and HVAC control systems used for research applications), and in the areas of R&D for Nuclear Programs, National and Homeland Security, and Energy and Environment.
- May work under the guidance of a Project Engineer or may be the lead engineer or the only electrical engineer on multidiscipline teams on projects with defined scope and schedule.
