Draw blood from veins by vacuum tube or butterfly venipuncture methods. Duties and responsibilities for the phlebotomist include obtaining blood ordered by a licensed health care provider, labeling the specimen collection tubes with the patient's name, preparing and spinning specimens, preparing patient's paperwork for documentation, and submitting specimens for processing into the designated pick up box.
