Facilities Supervisor Role and Responsibilities The Facilities Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and safety of all company facilities. This role oversees preventive and predictive maintenance programs, health, and safety standards, and execution of facility improvement projects. The ideal candidate demonstrates strong leadership, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse sites. Core Responsibilities Direct and oversee maintenance and repair of all equipment and building systems. Develop and implement comprehensive preventive and predictive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability and uptime. Maintain housekeeping standards and enforce 5S principles throughout the facility. Ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements through robust safety programs and audits. Certification as site storm water operator coordinating environmental compliance activities with contracted agencies. Coordinate safety drills, events, and training initiatives to foster a culture of safety. Lead and evaluate safety committees for continuous improvement. Ensure PPE integrity by coordinating vendor sourcing, internal assessments, and compliance audits. Plan and execute facility improvement projects, plant rearrangements, and new process implementations. Monitor and control maintenance budgets, spare parts inventory, and external service contracts. Analyze equipment performance data to identify root causes of failures and implement corrective actions to improve reliability. Track and assess capital expenditures by asset and recommend improvements based on cost analysis. Manage subcontractors for services such as janitorial, landscaping, and snow removal. Supervise maintenance staff, providing training, coaching, and performance evaluations. Promote Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives. Minimum Requirements 5+ years of experience in facilities or maintenance management. Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems. Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing and preventive maintenance systems. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and drive them through to completion. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and maintenance management software. Strong vendor management and contract negotiation skills. Enthusiastic, cooperative, and positive behavior. Preferred Skills Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field preferred. Certification in Lean Manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies. Experience implementing Predictive Maintenance (PdM) technologies or Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) strategies.
