Mechanical Engineer

Actalent is looking for a Mechanical Engineer. This person will be responsible for the following:Job DescriptionReviews and evaluates sales order requirements\specifications to configure and\or develop solutionsWorks with Sales and potentially the customer to resolve requirementsWorks with Electrical Engineers and Drafting to produce customer drawingsActs as the technical lead on assigned projectsWorks with internal groups such as Assembly, Procurement and field technicians during start up to resolve issuesWorks with Sales and Applications EngineeringApproves project release to ManufacturingWorks with Assembly and Test departments to resolve issues encountered during build\testWork as part of a project team to deliver cost effective, manufacturable designsProvide updates on project status and timelineMust HaveBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering required3+ years in some of the following:Designing and developing electro mechanical equipmentDesigning sheet metal productsExperience with development, design and engineering of mechanical\electrical systems using both 2Dand 3D CAD software (Creo preferred)Experience with OEM design activitiesExperience with bill of materials (BOMs)Experience with casting, compressors, pumps and/or motorsProject management experienceNice to HaveElectrical testing experienceKnowledge in noise attenuation (fan silencers)Customer interfacing experienceFinite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) experienceUnderstanding of seismic, wind and vibration calculationsWork EnvironmentRecently opened a new office near the manufacturing facility. They will be working on a team with a dozen engineers. 90% of their day will be spent at a desk. 10% will be on the floor.Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Seven Hills, OH.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $48.00 - $58.00/hr.Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
