General Contractor

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of building processes, excellent project management skills, and the ability to coordinate with various trades and subcontractors. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure that all work is completed according to specifications, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and completion. Read and interpret blueprints, ensuring all work meets design specifications. Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to ensure project success. Oversee subcontractors and tradespeople, ensuring quality workmanship in areas such as roofing, hardscape installation, stucco application, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, and door hanging. Fabricate and build structures according to project requirements while adhering to safety standards. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and enforce compliance with building codes and regulations. Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project updates, timelines, and any issues that may arise. Prepare and submit necessary documentation for permits and inspections. Experience Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations. Proficiency in blueprint reading and familiarity with software such as Bluebeam for project management. Experience in various construction disciplines including roofing, hardscape installation, stucco work, trim carpentry, concrete finishing, and door hanging is highly desirable. Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with clients and team members.
