The Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for the payment of goods and services purchased by the organization. You’ll ensure that invoices are accurate and that proper accounting procedures are followed for the purchasing and payment of goods and services.What You’ll Do:Review and verify calculations of incoming billings, matching invoices with purchase orders, statements, and sales receipts, and checking authorization and signatures.Detect mistakes as they arise and rectify discrepancies.Post entries to accounting system.Reconcile bills and statements, may prepare 1099’s and reports.Process checks or Electronic Fund Transfers (EFT) for payment of bills.Maintain positive vendor relationships and inter-department communications.Prepare documentation for external auditors and maintain vendor database.What You’ll Need:High school diploma or equivalent.1-3 years of experience in accounting/accounts payable.Oracle Fusion experience strongly preferred.Experience with check runs that include at least 200 checks.Inventory experience.Good understanding of accounting terminology and processes, including three-way match.Ability to key 100 invoices per day.Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with financial systems.Good written and oral communication skills. Strong customer service skills and a willingness to establish and maintain effective working relationships.Speed and accuracy.
