We are seeking skilled movers who can deliver exceptional service and support our commitment to making moving experiences smooth and stress-free.Position OverviewProfessional Movers/Drivers are critical team members responsible for executing high-quality residential and commercial moves. This role requires physical strength, technical skill in handling and protecting items, professional driving expertise, and a compassionate approach to supporting clients during significant life transitions.Key ResponsibilitiesTruck Operations:Pick up and return Enterprise trucks for scheduled movesSafely operate and maintain Sprinter high roof vanSafely operate moving vehicles while adhering to all traffic safety regulationsConduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspectionsPacking and Preparation:Expertly pack items using appropriate boxes, padding, and wrapping techniques to ensure maximum protection during transitCarefully organize and label boxes for efficient loading, transportation, and unloadingAssess items for special handling requirements, including fragile, valuable, or oversized itemsFurniture Handling:Skillfully disassemble and reassemble furniture, including beds, tables, shelving units, and other complex piecesProperly pad and protect furniture using moving blankets, stretch wrap, and custom protection methodsEnsure furniture is secure and prevents damage during transportationLoading and Unloading:Efficiently load moving trucks using strategic placement to maximize space and minimize item movementSafely unload items at destination, placing them in designated areas as directed by the clientUse proper lifting techniques to prevent injury and protect itemsCustomer Service:Maintain a professional, courteous, and empathetic demeanor with clients, particularly seniorsCommunicate clearly and effectively about moving processes and potential challengesProvide guidance and reassurance throughout the moving processQualificationsAt least 1 year of professional driving experienceValid driver's license with clean driving recordStrong organizational and time management skillsPhysical strength and stamina to lift and move items weighing up to 200 lbs (with team assistance)Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skillsAbility to multitask, prioritize, and work under pressureStrong attention to detail and organizational skillsExperience in senior services, moving, or related roles is preferredExcellent spatial awareness and ability to visualize furniture placementPatience and empathy when working with clients during significant life transitionsBasic technology skills for communication and documentationReside 25 miles from 77477 and/or 25 miles from 77057Physical/Environmental RequirementsTeam lifting and moving heavy items up to 200 lbs, requiring coordinated effort with another team member.Ability to safely lift and carry individual items up to 80 lbs independentlyConsistently perform physical tasks involving bending, stretching, and reachingMaintain physical stamina to perform sustained physical labor throughout a full work shiftWalking and/or standing in varying environments including client homes and senior living communitiesAbility to navigate different environments, including stairs, elevators, and uneven surfacesCapable of operating a moving vehicle for extended periodsMay require weekend or evening hours to accommodate client schedulesMust be able to work effectively in various weather conditions and indoor/outdoor environmentsRequires continuous physical movement, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling heavy itemsAbility to quickly and safely adjust body position when handling large or awkward itemsBenefitsFlexible hybrid work environmentOpportunity to make a meaningful impact on clients' livesSupportive team atmosphereTraining and development opportunitiesCompetitive compensation $19-$25/hrHow to ApplyIf you are enthusiastic about helping clients through life transitions and have the skills and experience we are looking for, we would love to hear from you!
