Seeking Independently Licensed Counselor for new SUD/MH program. Minimum requirements are Master's degree and one of the following: - LPC - LCSW - LMFT Starting pay: $34/hr+ plus a sign-on bonus of $2000 (paid after 90 days of employment). **Hybrid Schedule** Job Summary: At Behavioral Health Group (BHG), we believe recovery is possible for every patient. This role is part of a growing dual diagnosis program focused on supporting patients experiencing both substance use and mental health challenges. As a SUD/MH Counselor, you will help patients build the skills, confidence, and support systems needed to move toward lasting recovery and improved emotional wellness. Reporting to the Counselor Supervisor or Program Director, you will provide evidence-based individual counseling services within a collaborative, mission-driven environment focused on dignity, accountability, and hope. What You'll Do Provide High-Quality Individual CounselingConduct comprehensive assessments and support patients in identifying strengths, overcoming barriers, and achieving recovery goalsProvide evidence-based one-on-one counseling, crisis intervention, and supportive care for patients with substance use and co-occurring mental health disordersDevelop individualized treatment plans and clinical documentation that meet medical necessity, billing, and regulatory standardsHelp patients address underlying mental and physical health conditions that contribute to addictive behaviorsCoordinate care with medical providers, case managers, recovery teams, and community partners to support whole-person treatmentEnsure patient records are accurate, timely, and compliant with state and organizational requirements Support Patient Engagement and RecoveryBuild trusting therapeutic relationships using motivational enhancement and trauma-informed approachesEncourage hope and reinforce that addiction is a treatable medical condition, not a moral failingHelp patients develop coping skills, emotional resilience, relapse prevention strategies, and healthy routinesConduct outreach and follow-up efforts to improve patient engagement and continuity of careAssist patients in accessing community resources and support systems that promote long-term stability and recovery Help Build and Strengthen the ProgramContribute to the continued growth and development of the dual diagnosis counseling programCollaborate with leadership on program initiatives, workflows, and process improvementsServe as a positive ambassador for BHG internally and within the communitySupport outreach efforts and relationship-building with referral partners and healthcare providersHelp foster a culture grounded in compassion, accountability, and clinical excellence What We're Looking ForIndependent Licensure (LPC, LCSW or LMFT) plus master's degreeExperience providing substance use disorder and/or mental health counseling servicesKnowledge of evidence-based treatment approaches and recovery-oriented careStrong clinical documentation, communication, and organizational skillsAbility to build rapport and maintain therapeutic relationships with diverse patient populationsA collaborative mindset and passion for helping individuals in recoveryCommitment to professionalism, ethical care, and patient confidentiality Why Join BHG?
