Field Civil Engineer

As a Field Engineer, you will take ownership of projects from start to finish.What are the core responsibilities for the role?Interpret and be able to read and understand design and specifications of aspects related to highways, freeways, interchanges, streets, intersections, and multiuse trailsPrepare, Justify, write and coordinate change orders with the Resident Engineer.Work under the direction of a Resident Engineer to lead the roadway Construction Projects. which would include: working with contractors to identify design issues, field design changes, measurements of quantities, RFI's, Project schedule, review and accept submittals for material certifications. Also includes working closely with field inspectors to act as support due to unforeseen circumstancesSupport project managers with client relations, stakeholder coordination, and sub-consultant managementTake ownership of projects from start to finish, with attention to quality, budget, and scheduleInterface with coworkers to achieve shared successAvailability to work onsite days, nights and weekends while projects are ongoing Obtain certifications related to construction engineering managementMonitoring construction contractsManaging personnel and budgetQualifications, Skills, and Competencies: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil EngineeringLicensed EIT required, PE License a Bonus0-2 years of experience in transportation engineeringExperience working on multidisciplinary project teamsSolid background in AASHTO roadway geometric design criteriaProficiency using Autodesk and/or Bentley civil design softwareDrainage design and/or traffic engineering experience is a plusSolid written and oral communication skillsSelf-motivated, with strong organizational skills and attention to detailProficiency with MS Office applicationsA desire to grow personally and professionally with each project assignmentWhy would a candidate want this job?
