What you'll doDevelop and support Python backend services for data distribution and access.
Manage automated deployment, testing, and build processes using CI/CD, GitOps, AWS, and Kubernetes.
Create and maintain SQL and Avro data models for our Kafka-based distribution platform.
Build analytics-ready data models in Snowflake to support direct application and API access.
Coordinate between Data and Tech departments to align on project timelines, schema standards, and priorities.
RequirementsMinimum 3 years of professional experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a comparable field.
Proficiency in SQL and dimensional data modeling techniques.
Practical knowledge of event streaming via Kafka, including schema management with Avro, Protobuf, or JSON Schema.
Experience defining data contracts between producers and consumers.
Familiarity with cloud data warehouses like Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift, alongside modern tools such as dbt.
Strong communication skills in English, with the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Nice to haveProficiency in the German language.
Experience with AI-assisted coding tools like Claude Code.
