Field Technician(SME)

We are seeking a technically proficient, customer-focused IT professional to support mission-critical systems and develop modern collaboration and automation solutions using Microsoft SharePoint and Power Platform.This role is responsible for end-user device support, secure IT operations, and the design, development, and maintenance of custom SharePoint and PowerApps solutions. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in secure, high-visibility environments supporting senior leadership and sensitive systems. Occasional after-hours support may be required to maintain operational continuity.Key ResponsibilitiesIT Field & End-User SupportProvide on-site and remote technical support for end-user devices, including setup, installation, configuration, connectivity, troubleshooting, and resolution.Support secure access to enterprise systems, including networks, shared drives, printers, and collaboration tools.Respond to incidents and service requests in accordance with Service Level Objectives (SLOs).Deliver after-hours support as needed to resolve critical issues.Manage and track IT assets, including desktops, laptops, tablets, mobile devices, monitors, printers, and peripherals.Monitor device performance and ensure compliance with security baselines and IT policies.Document system configurations, access controls, and maintenance activities to support audits and compliance.SharePoint & Power Platform DevelopmentDesign, develop, and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps (Canvas and Model-Driven).Create and manage SharePoint Online sites, lists, libraries, permissions, and workflows.Build and maintain Power Automate flows to streamline and automate business processes.Develop custom SharePoint solutions using SPFx, PowerShell, REST APIs, and JSON-based integrations.Integrate Microsoft 365 services (Teams, Outlook, Excel) and third-party APIs into solutions.Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Power Apps, Power Automate flows, RPA bots, and data integrations.Optimize application performance, security, and usability following Power Platform best practices.Maintain detailed technical documentation for applications, workflows, and configurations.Monitor application analytics and performance metrics, recommending improvements as needed.Contribute to Power Platform governance, including environment strategy and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policies.Collaboration & CommunicationWork closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.Serve as a liaison between IT teams, leadership, and end users to ensure smooth operations and solution adoption.Provide training and end-user support to drive adoption and effective use of developed applications.Participate in technical planning sessions and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Qualifications & Required Experience5+ years of experience in desktop support, field services, system administration, or application support.2–5 years of professional experience with Microsoft Power Platform and SharePoint development.Resolve a wide range of technical issues on mobile devices, including troubleshooting problems with Microsoft Teams and Outlook, to ensure minimal downtime for users.Technical Skills:Mobile Device Management: Issuing, configuring, and updating mobile devicesMicrosoft Office Suite: Proficient in Outlook and TeamsProblem-Solving: Identifying and resolving technical issuesSoftware Updates: Ensuring all devices are running the latest software versionsProvide onsite support for physical setups and breakdowns of technical equipment, requiring the ability to lift and move items up to 30lbsPhysically capable of assisting with transporting computer equipment and supplies weighing up to 40 pounds for turn into warehouseCertifications RequiredCompTIA Security+ or equivalentPreferredITIL FoundationMicrosoft or Apple certificationsPower Platform or SharePoint certificationsActive Secret clearance requiredTS/SCI may be required depending on assignmentWhy Vision IT?Vision IT is committed to a People First culture rooted in integrity, compassion, and excellence.
